Second Exam

The exam will include questions similar to the ones listed in each film study guide and the question of analysis (narrative), www.medina502.com/classes/ml260_2016/questions_historical_narrative.php

You will have to understand the readings on historiography and use them as a theoretical framework.

1. Four short questions about the films and novels studied since the midterm exam (40 points)

2. Five questions from the oral presentations (10 points)

1. What were the models of movement to Shining Path modeled itself off of?

2. What were some of the positive changes Fidel brought to Cuba? The negative?

3. What major event did Latina feminists take part in?

4. How did the Civil War influence Bierce as a writer?

5. Evaluate the Cardenismo ideology.

3. Two essays. Compare/contrast themes and the representation of history on the novels and films studied in class (it will cover the four works listed above, the film you presented with your group, and to a lesser extent the novel and films we analyze before the midterm. (50 points)
